I really enjoyed chatting with Action for Stammering Children youth panellist, Joe! We chatted about the “Hows Whats and Whys” of cognitive neuroscience research into stammering.
Action for Stammering Children is a UK charity that helps children and young people and their families who stammer.
The Youth Panel was set up in 2015 with the aims of raising awareness of stammering and celebrating differences!
There are 3 other episodes in the series – Speech recognition, using virtual reality in research & the link between dyslexia and stammering.

Dr Charlie Wiltshire, lecturer in psychology, took part in this year’s Welsh Crucible programme.
Welsh Crucible is an award-winning programme of professional and leadership development for the future research leaders of Wales. Welsh Crucible 2023 was held over three intensive two-day residential workshops, with the final one hosted by Swansea University last month.
"30 exceptional researchers from across Wales were selected to work together to explore how they can tackle the current research challenges facing Wales, as well as looking at the skills needed to take their research careers to the next level."
